Inspirational Rooms

We have included these pictures to show customers the difference that can be made to any room by adding decorative covings, cornices, ceiling roses and mouldings.

Be creative and combine cornices, skirtings and mouldings to create your own unique designs.

Ceiling Mouldings

For traditional properties with high ceilings, create extra depth to a cornice by adding a picture rail or panel moulding below the cornice.  In this example we have used C307 cornice with P8030 panel moulding which has been placed 12" below the cornice.  It is then painted one colour to give the illusion of one large cornice.  The use of a ceiling rose is a must in period properties.  Here we have used R23 ceiling rose to match in with the egg & dart detailing on the cornice.  Our range of covings, cornices and roses have designs to suit Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco and contemporary style homes.

Skirting Designs

This picture shows an example of how you can create a high skirting board by using a standard skirting and adding mouldings above it.

Here, we have used SX138 skirting and we have placed P8040 moulding approx 6" above it.  We then added P8020 moulding approx 2" above that.  Once painted all one colour, it will give the appearance of one skirting.  Perfect for period properties with high ceilings.

You can use any of our mouldings to create your own unique combination.

Wall Panelling

This photograph shows how to create wall panelling using dado rail, panel moulding & skirting.  This type of panelling is also known as Wainscotting.  Cut lengths of panel moulding to the desired size and simply glue onto a plain wall.  It is a cost effective way of creating a stunning feature.  Wall panels can also be used above dado rails.  Traditionally, these wall panels would then be used to display paintings.  Products used here are: DX119 Dado Rail, PX120 Moulding & SX118 Skirting.
