Medium sized, plain, convex shaped cornice.   The ‘Devon’ is a plain cornice which features a deep convex curve with concave shaped detail along the top and bottom sections.  This style of coving will work in both traditional and more contemporary homes.  The recess at the back makes it perfect for hiding pipework or cables.  The Devon cornice can also be used as an uplighting cornice.  Have a look at our uplighting section for some ideas.

We recommend the size of cornice for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4 metres or more.

DESIGN IDEA – Ceiling astragals are a great way to reduce the width of a large ceiling.  Simply install your cornice and position a plain panel moulding 6-12″ in on the ceiling and continue around the room.  We have a range of panel mouldings which also come with corners so no need for cutting mitres.  See the image gallery for some design inspiration.
