What are your Lightweight mouldings made from?

All our Lightweight cornices and mouldings are made from the highest quality polyurethane. The Decor cornices and mouldings range are made from high-quality Purotouch. They are manufactured in metal moulds to give perfect definition and finish. The Axxent Lightweight Covings range is made from Duropolymer which has an especially hard and smooth finish at an attractive price. Both of these ranges are light, almost unbreakable and extremely easy to fit.  The Basixx range is made from our cost-effective polystyrene which is slightly softer but looks so effective when installed.

How do I install the Lightweight cornices and mouldings?

The Lightweight range has been designed to suit both the building industry and the D.I.Y. market as it is very easy to install. We have provided instructions for the correct installation of covings, ceiling roses, mouldings, columns and more.  Please download the instructions in the Installation section. Here you will find instructions on cutting, mitring and fixing. We supply a full range of adhesives and mitre boxes to suit installation requirements. Always use the Decofix adhesive range when fixing Lightweight products as it is a stipulation of the product guarantee.

Can I buy Plaster cornices and mouldings online?

No. Due to the nature of the product, we are unable to deliver plaster cornices and mouldings using the normal nationwide carriers. We keep a large stock in our Glasgow showroom from which customers can uplift their orders. Alternatively, we can arrange a local carrier service to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Ayrshire and other parts of Scotland. Please contact the showroom for delivery costs.

Can I buy Fireplaces online?

No. We do not sell or endorse the sale of fireplaces or stoves on the internet. The Internet is ideal for purchasing many types of products and services, however, the Fireplace Industry is a highly specialised environment where choosing the correct product is not down to lifestyle choice alone. There are major issues to take into account, such as chimney type, health and safety, correct installation, guarantees and professional after-sales service.

We have dealt with many potential internet customers in the past few years, who have eventually bought their fireplaces from us. We have over 50 fireplaces and over 25 stoves on display in our showroom which means that you can see what you are getting before you buy, something that you just can’t do when buying through the Internet. You will also benefit from our product knowledge and many years of experience in the Fireplace Industry. We can help you organise a chimney engineer and also an experienced Gas Safe registered fireplace installer or solid fuel Hetas installer. We can also organise a survey of your fireplace to check that what you have selected is suitable for your property.

We do not offer an installation service for people who have purchased their fireplaces from an online shop.
