Medium sized, dentil block, lightweight cornice. The Orac C211 coving is a classic design which is often found in Edwardian or Georgian style period properties. The clean sharp lines of a dentil cornice will never date and we find a lot of customer use it in hallways which are narrower than other rooms and so don’t require a heavier cornice. This depth of cornice is ideal for ceiling heights of 2.4-2.6 metres. If your ceilings are taller try looking at C422 which is a larger version of this lightweight cornice.

DESIGN IDEA – A coffered ceiling is a great way to add character to a large, tall ceiling. Get your joiner to create a framework on the ceiling consisting of multiple squares or rectangles then use the C211 or any other cornice on the inside. This will create a sunken ceiling look which can be both traditional or highly contemporary depending on which cornice you use.
